This paper proposes to build a prototype platform-agnostic modular mission payload (MMP) that will integrate multiple electronic warfare (EW) systems with position, navigation, and timing (PNT) sensors and other sensor modalities and can be mounted on ground or air vehicles or at fixed locations. The Modular Mission Payload for Electronic Warfare Systems (MMP-EWS) will enable real-time synchronization of electronic warfare capabilities across multiple vehicular-based and fixed locations and close a gap between operations in cyber and electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) operations, delivering fused sensor data, transparent across the maneuver common operational picture (COP), the common intelligence picture (CIP), and EW-COP.

Blueforce is an IoT data fusion software platform for forward sensor fusion with edge-based processing to accelerate recognitional decision-making at the edge of the network. The Blueforce Decentralized Fusion Engine (DFE) and services oriented architecture (SOA) allow serial or parallel processing with artificial intelligence (AI) at the edge of the network, by transforming disparately formatted sensor data streams into a sensor grid that spans all the domains of warfare.
